Introducing Farnham’s skilled Groomsmen
It was in 2005, when I first admired a friend while he was brushing his horses. I told myself that one-day I would look after these precious animals.
An opportunity presented itself to me in 2006 at Farnham.
Tamar gave me words of encouragement and I was so excited. I began to work at first with competitive ponies, which left a huge mark of success on me, winning most of the shows I attended. I hope this is the place I will finish my career as a groom.
I started working at Farnham in 2007, and progressed up the ranks quite quickly.
From maintenance originally to school ponies and client horses. I am currently Tamar’s groom.
The road has not been easy but with the guidance and support of the team and Tamar, we have come along way together.
My favorite horse is of course the one and only recent triple bar winner Mr Toko.
I have four and a half years work experience with horses.
I came to work at Farnham because I had a lot to gain in terms of experience because there is consistent and regular training.
My favorite horse is Brandy. He understands me, is quiet and always stands still to enjoy his daily brush.
I have 5 years experience. All the guys here work as a team; we all enjoy our jobs and help each other out.
I enjoy my job as groom relief, it allows me to spend special time with each and every horse on the other grooms day off.
I love all horses the same way but I can say Turbo (out little Shetland pony) is my favorite. He is so special, has fun, runs around the yard as our mascot and makes me laugh.
To all my management team and my boss, I salute you.
I started working at Farnham in 2014, just doing grass and water for all the horses and helping the maintenance team. During the holidays in 2014 I was taught how to look after the horses properly by putting on boots and tacking up. I enjoyed learning this and now I am a permanent groom at Farnham. I am still learning everyday and I love working with the horses.
I look after the school ponies at Farnham. I believe my job is the hardest because the school ponies are always very busy. My job is so important as I am responsible for making sure they are groomed and tacked up on time for all lessons. I enjoy my job and hope one day I will get to look after private horses too. I am very appreciative to my managers at Farnham for teaching me with such patience. King is my favourite horse and my friend because he listens to me.
